We were fortunate to have had the chance to meet Hallie + Mike. They are incredible people and make an incredible couple. Mike went to school, and played football for Army, at West Point. We got to know them earlier in the year as we capture their Love Story (below). It was a great chance to hear their incredible story, and what led up to them getting married this summer.
Their wedding day was amazing, beginning with the gift the Hallie got Mike (a Army football helmet), to their ceremony in the street next to The Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, all the way through their amazing sparkler exit.
Hallie + Mike’s desire to take in every moment, and cherish it with friends and family was unmistakable. We hope you enjoy their film.

Anna & Spenser were childhood friends before ending up here today. It was fitting that both of them spent the morning getting ready at Anna’s childhood home on Lake Oswego outside of Portland. The ceremony was held at the Agnes Flanagan Chapel at Lewis and Clark college, followed by the reception at the Lake Oswego Country Club.

For those of you who have never been to the Oregon coast, you’re missing out. It’s truly an amazing part of the pacific northwest. Rebecca & Brad got married in Cannon Beach, just west of Portland a little ways. They actually live in Las Vegas, so it’s apparent how special the Oregon coast is to them that they’d choose to have their wedding there.
Their day was simple and laid back. Wedding prep, ceremony and reception was held had the Sea Sprite Retreat. Brad and his groomsmen drove down to the beach in the morning to hit wooden golf balls in to the ocean. Rebecca relaxed with her girls and exchanged clever gifts with Brad.
We had the privilege to work with photographer Kirk Mastin, as well as some awesome vendors like Koi Fusion (thanks for the incredible fooood!) and the best photobooth in the biz… Happymatic Awesome time.
We hope you enjoy their film!

Crystal & Edison decided to elope rather than having a wedding. They were so excited and felt so strongly for each other they realized they just cared more about being married than planning a large wedding. And planning a large wedding would prove to be difficult because most of their family, and their parents live in China. Eventually their parents heard about this idea but insisted on being their for the marriage ceremony. So both sets of parents made a visit from China to the Mt. Hood Bed & Breakfast, and what once was set to be an elopement became a small wedding.

This wedding has been in the works for a long time! We met Johnna about 2 years ago when she started the wedding planning process. On the East Coast typically people need to reserve more time for wedding planning because most of the time vendors book well in advance. And Keith is a police officer so his schedule isn’t the most flexible in the world. But often times when more time and preparation is put into an event, it’s just going to make that event that much more special. And what a better way to start out the day than opening two bottles of near 20 year old Don Perignon! Although the guys were drinking theirs out of red solo cups, but still, it’s the occasion that makes it special!
Johnna and Keith got married at the beautiful Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark New Jersey. The reception was held at Seasons in Washington Township.

Moetic finally had the chance to capture a wedding in Hawaii. We feel very blessed to get to travel as much as we do. In fact, if it weren’t for the wonderful couples who love our films, we may not get the chance to visit some of the places we have. So we feel privileged to get to work with so many great people. Esther & Kenny are friends with a previous Moetic couple, Melissa & Eric , and when they watched their film they decided a wedding film was an important investment.
They contacted us back in October of 2012. Esther was living in Vancouver at the time while Kenny was living in Dallas, and their family and friends were all over the place. So Hawaii seemed like a fitting place to get married! If your guests are going to be traveling anyways, why not go somewhere worth traveling too? While getting to know them we found that much of their relationship was long distance, so we knew their wedding was going to be a special event. It was going to be a time where all the important people in their lives were going to be in the same place, and that doesn’t happen often.
They got married at the beautiful Four Season’s resort Hualalai, on the Kona side of Hawaii’s big island. The Kona side is interesting. When you leave the airport and drive up the main highway you see nothing but lava rock as far as the eye can see, not what one might expect from Hawaii. But Hualalai is tucked away in a nice lush area with beautiful beaches! We had the opportunity to work again with Junshien & Sarah, photographers with Junshien International Photography. They are great people and great photographers! You can check out Esther & Kenny’s photography blog post here.

Laura and Matt got married at the beautiful Langdon Farms in Aurora Oregon. While rain may be common during the month of August in Oregon, it didn’t phase the beautiful couple one bit; and when the sun finally burned through the clouds, it made for an amazing ceremony!

A short drive outside of Springfield Oregon, settled in the wilderness is a beautiful little place called Tipi Village Retreat. It was a place Tabitha and Eric new they could escape to, in order to connect with family, friends, each other , and themselves. Immersing themselves in nature was the perfect way for them to prepare for their wedding.
The ceremony was just as beautiful as the scenery and it was a joy to see so many children running and playing. It’s a wedding we’ll never forget!

Wow. We’ve always wanted to do a surprise same day and today we got to. What an incredible experience! The backdrop for the wedding was nothing short of spectacular – Cody’s parents house along the Willamette River in Keizer, Oregon.

We’ve known Melissa and Eric for a long time now. We booked their wedding a long time ago when we were still living in NYC. We’ve also filmed a couple of their friends weddings as well, one of whom may be in this film . So when we showed up on their day, it instantly felt like we were in the company of friends.
It’s not hard at all to see how much they love each other. While both of them were a bit nervous earlier in the day, it didn’t stop them from having a total blast. Not only are they super fun people, but their entire bridal party was so vibrant and joyful as well. The best way to describe their wedding is simple, IT WAS FUN!
We had the privilege of working with photographer Junshien Lau of Junshien International Photographers.

What can we say? There are no words that can sum up the experience we shared at Tree and Jos’ wedding. It wasn’t the beautiful Ojai California country side that made this wedding unforgettable, or even the amazing Whitman family private residence where they got married. It was being surrounded by so many genuine people and bearing witness to a truly authentic display of love.
Both through work and play we’ve had the opportunity to get to know Tree and Jos over the last year in Portland Oregon. They shoot weddings just like us! As the principal photographers behind Jos Photographers, Tree and Jos are a total artistic inspiration. We are so thankful to have them as friends!
After quite an eventful day we completed what probably has been our most involved Same Day Edit we’ve produced up to date. Our day started at 9am and the last bit of footage to make the Same Day Edit was captured around 9pm. We also managed to go on a hike with Jos and his buddies, which was a well worth it addition to their film! The unique approach to their ceremony coupled with their beautiful vows made this such a fun film to piece together.

On this day, Thi and Rob got married. We had a great time at our first Philadelphia wedding. It was months before however that we got to know Thi and Rob while filming a Love Story film for them. Their story is encouraging, and shows that sometimes to find true love you need to have the courage to pursue the girl!
Their day took place in the energetic downtown Philly, starting at the Hotel Palomar, followed by a beautiful photo session at a Japanese garden. They had their Ceremony and Reception at the Ballroom at the Ben.
We also had the chance to work along side Joe from JPG Photography which was a ton of fun.

Jamie and Matt got married on the most beautiful day in November in New York City. Nothing quite beats the rooftop view at the Cooper Square Hotel, and the beautiful Angel Orensanz Foundation was the perfect fit for their ceremony. Jamie and Matt were both so laid back and relaxed that at times we almost forgot we were in busy NYC!
