12-15 January, 2012 // The Viceroy Resort, Anguilla

It’s hard to describe how moving our trip was to Anguilla. We had the privilege to spend a bit of time with Angela and Mike in New York before their wedding. Mike shared about his love for Anguilla, and how special of a place it was to both he and Angela. It was the perfect place for them to celebrate their marriage. But being in a beautiful place was only a minor part of this amazing experience. It was spending the few days with their family and close friends that reminded us of how special love is, and how valuable our relationships are with those we love.

The Viceroy Anguilla is one of the most beautiful resorts in the world with one of the friendliest staffs we’ve ever witnessed.

Jamie and Matt got married on the most beautiful day in November in New York City. Nothing quite beats the rooftop view at the Cooper Square Hotel, and the beautiful Angel Orensanz Foundation was the perfect fit for their ceremony. Jamie and Matt were both so laid back and relaxed that at times we almost forgot we were in busy NYC!

Sook and Michael are an extremely fun couple.  I had the opportunity to meet Sook a long time ago in the Starbucks in Union Square, NYC.  She’s also involved in the wedding industry as a wedding planner, so I knew that if we shot her wedding we’d have to bring our ‘A’ game.  We had such a great time with them and it was easy to see how much they love each other.  Take a look at their film and watch how special their vows are, so awesome.

It was the day Hurricane Irene passed through New York and New Jersey, and that’s the day Laili and Paul celebrated their marriage.

Laili and Paul live in Switzerland, so we only had the chance to meet with Laili, along with Paul’s mother before their wedding.  We could tell right away that they were amazing people and that their wedding would be so much fun.  Little did we know that Hurricane Irene had plans on their wedding day, but NYC doesn’t slow down for anything, and neither did Laili and Paul.

We also had the privilege to shoot along side Jeff Tisman, which was a blast.  He had them posing in the middle of the street in front of dozens of NYC taxi cabs.

The details at Kim + Matt’s wedding were incredible. We remember Skyping with them earlier this year as they described all the little things they were doing for their day, and even then, we couldn’t imagine everything we saw unfold as we filmed their day. Matt built just about everything that was part of the day – the saloon, tables, archways – you name it. It was truly a DIY Rodeo Wedding.

It was an incredible honor to be able to capture the details of their day, and the story of their day. Enjoy.

Sam + Devin’s wedding was nothing short of amazing. They thought of everything, including a trapeze artist serving champagne and someone painting a scene of their reception at Portland Center Stage as it happened. We had a blast being part of, and telling their story.
