Holualoa, Hawaii

Moetic finally had the chance to capture a wedding in Hawaii.  We feel very blessed to get to travel as much as we do.  In fact, if it weren’t for the wonderful couples who love our films, we may not get the chance to visit some of the places we have.  So we feel privileged to get to work with so many great people.  Esther & Kenny are friends with a previous Moetic couple, Melissa & Eric , and when they watched their film they decided a wedding film was an important investment.

They contacted us back in October of 2012.  Esther was living in Vancouver at the time while Kenny was living in Dallas, and their family and friends were all over the place.  So Hawaii seemed like a fitting place to get married!  If your guests are going to be traveling anyways, why not go somewhere worth traveling too?  While getting to know them we found that much of their relationship was long distance, so we knew their wedding was going to be a special event.  It was going to be a time where all the important people in their lives were going to be in the same place, and that doesn’t happen often.

They got married at the beautiful Four Season’s resort Hualalai, on the Kona side of Hawaii’s big island.  The Kona side is interesting.  When you leave the airport and drive up the main highway you see nothing but lava rock as far as the eye can see, not what one might expect from Hawaii.  But Hualalai is tucked away in a nice lush area with beautiful beaches!  We had the opportunity to work again with Junshien & Sarah, photographers with Junshien International Photography.  They are great people and great photographers!  You can check out Esther & Kenny’s photography blog post here.

When Ashley told us that Jeff was planning on waking up around 4:30am to go fishing the morning of his wedding, I have to admit, I wasn’t thrilled. But knowing that fishing was a huge part of Jeff’s life, plus the opportunity to capture some amazing visuals, made it easier to crawl out of bed well before day-break to capture his experience.

Their wedding day was filled with fishing-themes… from the morning on the river north of Portland, to the gift Ashley gave Jeff, to the boutonnieres Jeff made for his groomsmen. We hope you enjoy Ashley+Jeff’s story.

This wedding was quite the party.  Amy and Jonathan were together nearly 11 years before they tied the knot, so it was easy for them to let loose and truly enjoy their wedding day!

Ashley and Seamus are a total joy to be around.  The way they treat each other is beautiful and it’s no doubt that they’ll be extremely happy together.  The two of them got ready at the Nines Hotel in Portland Oregon and then celebrated their wedding at the awesome Pure Space Venue.  At the end of the evening they even hired the KOi Fusion Food Truck to serve some late night Tacos!  That was awesome.

Catherine+Chau were one of the most enjoyable couples we had the chance to get to know this past year. They chose the beautiful Alderbrook Resort in Union, Washington (one of our favorites!) for their wedding venue.  We had just as much fun filming their wedding as we did getting to know them.  What could be better than starting your wedding day off by throwing some boxing gloves on?

We had the privilege of working along side Ellen from Serenity Weddings and the very talented, Chantal Andrea.

The best part of living in the Pacific Northwest is the variety of wedding venues we get to film at and experience. Venues in Central Oregon are tops on our list, so we were very excited to capture Andrea + Josh’s wedding day which took place in historic downtown Bend and at Pronghorn Club.

As you’ll see in the film, Andrea + Josh planned quite an affair, with details galore. From start to finish, they enjoyed their day to the fullest. Be sure to check out some of the still photos taken by Karen and Isaac Stott.

It was a blast working with some of Oregon’s best … Karen and Isaac Stott, Holly from Muse Wedding Planning, Rick from Bass is Loaded. And of course, one of Central Oregon’s best wedding venues, Pronghorn Club.

We could tell from the first time we Skyped with Sidonie + David that their Sonoma, California wedding was going to be easily one of the most beautiful weddings we would film in 2012. Their August 19 wedding in wine country, California was nothing short of amazing. Taking place at Kunde Winery and Kenwood Inn and Spa, Liberty and Dalit of Lady Liberty Events did a spectacular job of coordinating this grand affair.

We had a ton of fun capturing their story and hope you enjoy their wedding film.

An amazing Oregon summer day for Emily + Kyle to get married on! They chose one of the most beautiful venues in Oregon and created a look and feel – alongside Moxie Events –  that truly reflected who they were as a couple. The entire Moetic team was was honored to be a part of their wedding day. All their family and friends were so much fun to be with all day. Laura and Matt got married at the beautiful Langdon Farms in Aurora Oregon.  While rain may be common during the month of August in Oregon, it didn’t phase the beautiful couple one bit; and when the sun finally burned through the clouds, it made for an amazing ceremony!

A short drive outside of Springfield Oregon, settled in the wilderness is a beautiful little place called Tipi Village Retreat.  It was a place Tabitha and Eric new they could escape to, in order to connect with family, friends, each other , and themselves.  Immersing themselves in nature was the perfect way for them to prepare for their wedding.

The ceremony was just as beautiful as the scenery and it was a joy to see so many children running and playing.  It’s a wedding we’ll never forget!

Betsy and Ryan’s wedding shows how amazing a day can be when you bring so many loved ones together. The day wasn’t about anything else but them, which was awesome. Their wedding was beautiful in so many ways.

At Betsy and Ryan’s wedding we got to work with Luxe Event Productions and Erich and Amy from Erich Mcvey Photography :)

We’ve known Melissa and Eric for a long time now. We booked their wedding a long time ago when we were still living in NYC. We’ve also filmed a couple of their friends weddings as well, one of whom may be in this film :) . So when we showed up on their day, it instantly felt like we were in the company of friends.

It’s not hard at all to see how much they love each other. While both of them were a bit nervous earlier in the day, it didn’t stop them from having a total blast. Not only are they super fun people, but their entire bridal party was so vibrant and joyful as well. The best way to describe their wedding is simple, IT WAS FUN!

We had the privilege of working with photographer Junshien Lau of Junshien International Photographers.
