We were fortunate to have had the chance to meet Hallie + Mike. They are incredible people and make an incredible couple. Mike went to school, and played football for Army, at West Point. We got to know them earlier in the year as we capture their Love Story (below). It was a great chance to hear their incredible story, and what led up to them getting married this summer.
Their wedding day was amazing, beginning with the gift the Hallie got Mike (a Army football helmet), to their ceremony in the street next to The Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland, all the way through their amazing sparkler exit.
Hallie + Mike’s desire to take in every moment, and cherish it with friends and family was unmistakable. We hope you enjoy their film.

Yesterday we had the honor of being with Nikki+Brian, and their friends and family as we captured their wedding day in this same day edit. Nikki + Brian had such a great time on their special day and that makes our job easy!
The wedding took place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Seattle, and included everything from morning golf with the guys to the bridal party enjoying fish and chips on the Seattle waterfront after the ceremony. Enjoy!

Liz + Cameron were married at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona. They had one of the coolest ‘first looks’ we’ve seen – meeting each other in a large greenhouse full of butterflies. They decided to share their vows with each other during this time, rather than at the ceremony, which was really cool.
We had a blast capturing the days events with Liz+Cameron.

We Love The Music Bed! We use it exclusively to license all music for our films. The simplicity of finding and licensing great music, along with the fact that they’re just ‘great people’ make using The Music Bed seamless within our workflow. That’s why we were super pumped when they told us earlier this year they were planning on releasing a Music Bed mobile app.
We’ve had the chance over the past 3 weeks of testing out the app and all I can say is WOW! It’s like Pandora, but with a purpose! It’s been great to use while in an airport or traveling… in fact we used it when we were making our way to Philadelphia to film Lois + Eddie’s same day edit last month. The ability to create and edit Wishlists make it so easy for our team to collaborate and find great music.
The Music Bed catalog is always right at your fingertips! As new music is released, you’ll be able to effortlessly keep up to date with their most recent library additions right on the app. Instantly update your wishlists with the newest hand-picked tracks.
To celebrate the release of your new favorite app, they’ve got 30 Days of Giveaways where you could win $1,500 in song licenses + an iPad Retina from TMB, PLUS tons of insane prizes from the likes of Kessler, Rode, Zacuto, LensProToGo and MORE worth thousands of dollars!
Our sister company, AO Creative Films, recently posted a tutorial on how they color graded a series of 30-second commercials using VSCO Film, so we figured that anything AO Creative can do, we can do better .
Here’s a video tutorial on how we recently color graded a wedding film using Visual Supply Company’s, VSCO Film for Aperture. Enjoy!
Here’s a look at the completed film:
Here are a few stills from the video after being graded in Aperture with VSCO Film.
When Ashley told us that Jeff was planning on waking up around 4:30am to go fishing the morning of his wedding, I have to admit, I wasn’t thrilled. But knowing that fishing was a huge part of Jeff’s life, plus the opportunity to capture some amazing visuals, made it easier to crawl out of bed well before day-break to capture his experience.
Their wedding day was filled with fishing-themes… from the morning on the river north of Portland, to the gift Ashley gave Jeff, to the boutonnieres Jeff made for his groomsmen. We hope you enjoy Ashley+Jeff’s story.
Catherine+Chau were one of the most enjoyable couples we had the chance to get to know this past year. They chose the beautiful Alderbrook Resort in Union, Washington (one of our favorites!) for their wedding venue. We had just as much fun filming their wedding as we did getting to know them. What could be better than starting your wedding day off by throwing some boxing gloves on?

The best part of living in the Pacific Northwest is the variety of wedding venues we get to film at and experience. Venues in Central Oregon are tops on our list, so we were very excited to capture Andrea + Josh’s wedding day which took place in historic downtown Bend and at Pronghorn Club.
As you’ll see in the film, Andrea + Josh planned quite an affair, with details galore. From start to finish, they enjoyed their day to the fullest. Be sure to check out some of the still photos taken by Karen and Isaac Stott.
It was a blast working with some of Oregon’s best … Karen and Isaac Stott, Holly from Muse Wedding Planning, Rick from Bass is Loaded. And of course, one of Central Oregon’s best wedding venues, Pronghorn Club.
We could tell from the first time we Skyped with Sidonie + David that their Sonoma, California wedding was going to be easily one of the most beautiful weddings we would film in 2012. Their August 19 wedding in wine country, California was nothing short of amazing. Taking place at Kunde Winery and Kenwood Inn and Spa, Liberty and Dalit of Lady Liberty Events did a spectacular job of coordinating this grand affair.
We had a ton of fun capturing their story and hope you enjoy their wedding film.

Moetic’s last wedding of 2012 was nothing short of amazing! We had a BLAST hanging out with and filming Carla + Matt’s wedding day at Cabo Azul. With nearly 50 of their friends and family in attendance, Carla + Matt had the opportunity to enjoy the celebration at one of the most amazing venues in the world.
This same day edit has it all…everything from yoga to volleyball, tabata to boxing and then whole bunch of fun stories and ‘wedding stuff’ as well. We think you’ll see what an amazing couple Carla+Matt are in this, the final SDE for Moetic in 2012. Enjoy.
Great working alongside photographers, Joey and Noelle of J+N Imagery.
This was a very special wedding for us. We take pride in getting to know each one of our couples as best as possible before filming their special day, but with Hannah+Gavin it was a different level.
I (Ryan Welch) met Gavin in 2004 when he was a freshman in high school. I started leading Young Life at Sheldon HS and remember the first time I met him him outside the cafeteria. I had the honor of being his YL leader for the next 4 years. Our relationship continues today, as he’s one of my assistant coaches for the Pop Warner football team I coach.
We met Hannah through Gavin. She started baby-sitting our kids and our friendship grew from there. Hannah actually lived with us for a few months last summer and a few weeks before their wedding and our kids got to be flower girl and ring bearer. Hannah+Gavin are like family and it was so much fun being part of their wedding in August!

Michelle+Vin were married yesterday – in the shadow of Hurricane Sandy – on the Jersey Shore at Bonnet Island Estate. We had such a fun time creating their Same Day Edit. Here’s the film that played at their reception last night. Enjoy!
An amazing Oregon summer day for Emily + Kyle to get married on! They chose one of the most beautiful venues in Oregon and created a look and feel – alongside Moxie Events – that truly reflected who they were as a couple. The entire Moetic team was was honored to be a part of their wedding day. All their family and friends were so much fun to be with all day. We hope you enjoy their wedding film – filled with fun, laughter, emotion and a surprise firework show!

Rachel+Sam picked an amazing backdrop for their wedding day — along the beautiful McKenzie River in the Cascade Mountains at Eagle Rock Lodge. Easily one of the hottest days of the summer, Rachel + Sam — along with Moxie Events — created a fabulous scene for this truly Oregon wedding. It was fun to see all of Sam’s family, most of them from the east coast, enjoy the Northwest scenery.
We hope you enjoy their Wedding Film. Music: “Alas We Aspire” by Amy Stroup, licensed through The Music Bed.
Here’s a look at Abby+Colby’s wedding film, which took place in July at Gorge Crest Vineyards in Underwood, Washington. It was a beautiful, Northwest summer day and the venue allowed for an amazing view of Mt. Hood, just across the Columbia River in Oregon. Abby+Colby were so much fun to work with and we really enjoyed the uniqueness of their wedding. As always, it was great working with photographer, Ashley Forrette.
We hope you enjoy the film.
